U.S. Always Willing to Lend
a Hand
There has always
been controversy surrounding the question should the U.S.
always be willing to lend a hand to other countries. One opinioned writer by
the name of David Holcberg, of the Ayn Rand Institute wrote an article in the Corpus Christi Caller times in reference to
the U.S. using taxpayers’ money
to help victims of tragedy in other countries. His complaint is that if that is our hard earned money that was made in the
United States, why don’t we have
a say in where and how much of our money goes to other victims? The answer is simple we are looked upon as one of the strongest
countries in the world and other countries know they can always depend on us.
The United States
is the leader of all nations. Other nations can look to us as a big brother when
in need. When we elect our representatives to office we are giving them the power
to make decisions for us. After all they are our voice. We have to trust
our government that our money is being generated correctly to other countries in need.
In conclusion we must remember that are country is the most powerful nation in the world and
we are a Christian based country with strong roots in helping others. There is
no harm in helping other in a time of need as long as our leaders remember to help our own citizens in the time of need.
